Every regulated capital project runs the same 16-phase lifecycle — but a greenfield facility, a technology transfer, and an equipment replacement lean on very different phases. Each archetype below shows which phases matter, its key risks, and how its risk profile differs from the greenfield baseline.

Technology transferMoving a process to a new site or lineMoving a validated (or to-be-validated) process from a sending unit to a receiving unit — a different site, line, or organisation.
