Frequently asked questions
How does SPEQ handle automated regulatory intelligence?
SPEQ keeps the source record separate from its mappings and analysis. Published changes are machine-detected, rule-mapped, and source-linked; administrative, incomplete, and unmapped records are skipped rather than guessed. Automated output does not imply practitioner approval or regulator endorsement.
Are there usage limits on Professional?
Not for professional use. There are no credits, nothing expires, and nothing can be topped up — access is a plan capability, not a consumable. Rate limits exist solely to prevent automated bulk extraction. If you ever hit one doing ordinary work, tell us and we will fix it.
How does the 14-day Professional trial work?
A payment method is required at Checkout, and there is one trial per verified account. Cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged. If it lapses, the account returns to Explorer and your saved work is retained.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
Access continues through a 7-day grace period while payment is retried, and the billing owner is notified. After that, Professional returns to Explorer and a Team organization becomes read-only.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, from the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep access until then. Except where required by law, fees already charged are not refunded.
Why is there a 5-seat Team minimum?
Team is a governed shared workspace rather than a bundle of individual seats. The practical crossover is around four people: 5 Team seats cost $295 a month against $316 for 4 Professional seats, so most groups reach Team on price before they reach it on headcount.
How do Team seats work?
The owner and every active member consume a seat; pending invitations and removed members do not. Additions take effect immediately and are prorated. Reductions take effect at renewal and cannot fall below five or below the seats currently occupied.
When do we need Enterprise instead of Team?
At 25 or more seats, or when you need SPEQ working against your own controlled documents, organization impact analysis, a scoped API, SSO/SCIM, or contractual data-region and retention terms. Enterprise is qualified first and has no public price.
Is my data deleted if I downgrade?
No. Cancellation and downgrade never immediately delete saved searches, annotations, collections, or reports. A Team organization becomes read-only, and retained data stays available for at least 90 days.
