What a role map is not
A role map is orientation — not a job description, a competency framework, or a statement of what any employer expects of you.
You run the tests that show whether products and cleanrooms are free of harmful microbes, and record the results honestly.
You execute validated microbiological methods — bioburden, endotoxin, sterility and environmental monitoring — maintain the controlled laboratory environment so the test does not contaminate itself, and investigate excursions objectively. Microbiological results are slow, variable and destructive of the sample, so a repeat rarely settles a question the way a chemical retest can.
You hold the contamination-control evidence that sterile assurance ultimately rests on. Sterility cannot be tested into a batch — the sample size is far too small to detect low-level contamination — so your data is evidence about the process, and treating a passing sterility test as proof of sterility inverts what it means.
