What a role map is not
A role map is orientation — not a job description, a competency framework, or a statement of what any employer expects of you.
You sample the air, surfaces and people in cleanrooms to show the environment is staying clean, and you notice when the pattern changes before the numbers break a limit.
You run viable and non-viable monitoring against a risk-based sampling plan, apply Annex 1’s contamination control expectations, identify recovered organisms to the level the investigation requires, and trend results so a drift is visible before an excursion. USP <1116> is explicit that counts in unidirectional airflow zones are a measure of process capability, not a product acceptance test.
The monitoring programme is the most reliable early-warning instrument a sterile facility has, and its value is destroyed by treating each result as a pass or a fail rather than as one point in a trend.
